The man who planted the trees

The video "The man who planted the trees" by Christopher plummer was very touching. It was about a shepherd's successful effort to make a forest out of a desert. Just by watching how he made the forest makes us think how important it is to save the environment. For a second I thought it was a true story but later I found out that the main character Bouffier is just a fictional person. It took him more than thirty years to make the forest. Out of the 100,000 seeds he planted, only 20,000 grew and became trees. He didn't do that for himself. I am sure that he thought about future too. I say we should all follow his path and stop deforestation for our own good. It causes disturbance in water cycle and dries up the environment. It also increases amount of carbon and green house effects. Even though it was just a cartoon video, looking at the trees and birds was so beautiful.
